Video: I prefer iPhone 2018
The new 2018 iPhone models (a.k.a. the iPhone 13) were announced on Wednesday.
We got our first look at the new phone at last year’s annual fall reveal, but now Apple confirmed our suspicions. The screen is getting much bigger, with a 4.7-inch screen and a 5.8-inch screen — both with Force Touch. There will also be a wireless charging pad, like the wireless charging power ring found on the Apple Watch.
We also got a glimpse of new headphones, which feature a fabric design that Apple claims is more comfortable to wear. We’ve seen this kind of design before with headphones from Denon and Apple’s old Beats brand. Apple also says it now has a memory card slot. It wasn’t on the original iPhone, or the more expensive iPhone 6 Plus, which was almost as big.
The old iPhone 6S comes down to $349. A 5.8-inch iPhone X will be available on March 22. The devices will begin shipping on March 24. The 8 and 8 Plus are getting the fancy iPhone X features as well. Those devices will cost $549 and $629 for the base model and $649 and $749 for the 8 Plus.
Keep reading for all the details about the new iPhone models — including how much it costs and when they’ll be available.
