Let’s give credit where credit is due. Facebook, creator of the infamous “personals” category for lusted after gals, will be releasing a line of glasses just in time for this year’s Pokemon GO-like World Cup!
Yes, as you can now image, you’ll be able to like cute cat pictures, flick your eyes to the left or right or look at photos from the previous week.
And by the way, for those of you keen to hear your own phone ring while wearing an actual, real, wearable camera, they’re under way too.
Suffice to say, if you’re planning to wear these, you probably don’t need Facebook or Instagram. And the above post is pretty sure you can expect a massive boycott!
Now for the technical stuff: a pair will start at $449 (£398) and for that price, you can secure a pair of three frames. You will still have to sweat and be messy when you go out because the lenses are in a plastic case, but you might as well wear something unnoticeable, right?
Twitter was pretty sure about this new product launch, posting some pretty snarky thoughts about the entire development.
It’s too bad though, it would have been an ideal addition to the world of augmented reality. Consider all those Pokemon you could play in real life, imagine how an “eye”-type of AR could change the world!
